Participation obligations

The architect (planner) basically has no claim to the obligation of the principal. Nevertheless, the principal’s participation is usually inherently unavoidable.

An agreement for participation activities is recommended.

The following participation activities can be necessary:

  • Making documents available
  • Providing information (so-called instructions)
  • Issuing instructions
  • Approval
  • Signing powers of attorney
    • Representatives of authorities, officials and agencies
    • Presence at neighbours
    • and much more
