The Organisation
Constituted in 1992 as an association, the “Interest Group of Private Professional Builders (IPB)” represents the interests of its members before the service providers, professional associations, authorities and other organisations while promoting the concept of competition, professionalization of the role of the principal and strengthening the competence of the members as the ordering party.

- Pharmaceutical companies
- (Stock exchange quoted) real estate shareholding companies
- Real estate funds
- Pension fund institutions
- Major distributors
- Infrastructure companies

The Objective
The IPB is committed to the following primary activities:
- Lobbying for the revision of standards and orders
- Further development of sustainability
- Professionalization of the principals
- Real estate concepts for future planning and construction
- Maintaining relations with the ETH, KBOB, universities and associations
The Set of Standards
The standardisations of the association consist of GTC (EIPB), recommendations, data sheets, study reports, among other things:
- Additions and modifications in the IPB members of the SIA standard 118/2013 (EIPB 118)
- EIPB 118 = a type of General Terms and Conditions (GTC) modifying the SIA standard 118
- Construction project management
- Guidelines
